Motivation for not Opposing Abortion The imposing of one's will upon another goes against freedom of / from religion ? Lack of opposition to abortion in part stems from the belief system that says religions should not impose their beliefs on those who do not have the same beliefs. The extension of this is that everyone has the right to practice what they personally believe and should be free from interference from those who see wrong in their actions. Those with beliefs in the teachings of the Catholic Church about abortion, those of other Christian communities, and those of non Christian religions who have the same belief are to practice political correctness and not demand that they cease committing murder as commanded by God in various Sacred writings. They must allow murder to take place because it would not be politically correct to stop the murder of those who are unable to defend themselves. Simply put, abortion murder must be found acceptable for those who do not believe that it is murder. A parallel would be in relationship to those who accept torture for purposes of self-gratification. So long as they hold to that belief others may not disturb that position; particularly not if they practice it in relation to those with the same belief system they profess. Capturing a people in order to make them slaves should then be seen as acceptable. A popular practice or belief may not be opposed by those who believe otherwise.
